With an aim of encouraging local teenagers to showcase their boundless creativity and advancing the development of Hong Kong’s creative industries, “The 1st Hong Kong Secondary School Brand IP Competition 2025/26”, organised by am730 and co-organised by the Seedland Educational Charitable Foundation, was successfully held with the support of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), the Hong Kong Retail Management Association (HKRMA), the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI), and the College of Professional and Continuing Education of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU CPCE). This inaugural competition invited secondary school students to design exclusive IP characters for nine brands, namely Nina Park, s/ash, Ding Ding Mosquito, Listerine, Ma Wan 1868, Men Wah Bing Teng, Tao Ti, Hong Kong Red Cross, and am730, which reflect their brand identity and enhance exposure among young customers. It offered aspiring students a valuable opportunity to experience the complete IP design journey, while supporting the HKSAR Government’s policy of promoting the development of the cultural IP industry. Open for applications in 2025, the competition received an enthusiastic response, attracting 108 teams and more than 280 students.

The award presentation ceremony was held on 27 June 2026 at Metroplaza, Kwai Fong, where a full house of students, teachers, parents, judges, and representatives from supporting organisations and brands gathered to extend congratulations to the champions, first runners-up, and second runners-up of each brand as they received their awards from judges and brand representatives. The coveted “Most Popular IP Award”, voted for by the public, was also unveiled at the ceremony.
